3 people were arrested in Placer County California after sheriff’s deputies discovered a large pile of mail inside their car.
The three had called the deputies to the scene when they lost their keys and could not get their car to start.
When the first deputy responded to the scene, he found a large pile of mail belonging to other people on the seats and floorboard of the car.
In addition to the mail in the car, the deputy noticed that their car was parked next to a pried-open mailbox.
The suspects were arrested and charged with felony mail theft and booked into the South Placer Jail. Two of them have had their bail set at $20,000 and the other has had his bail set at $65,000.
The suspects got themselves into trouble by calling the sheriff’s deputies to the scene, but even the silliest criminals deserve a chance for a fair trial.
Your best chance for a fair trial is to get out of jail and start working with your lawyer on a solid defense.
