Silly Crimes
Silly Crimes
We know that people are arrested all the time, even when they don’t deserve it. Whether they’re breaking a law they didn’t know existed, or simply in the wrong place at the wrong time, people who are undeserving of a criminal charge are arrested.
Some people, however, probably should’ve seen their arrests coming.
Here are some silly crimes that have landed people in hot water.
1 Million Dollar Bill
The largest bill in circulation in the US is a $100 bill, but that didn’t stop 53-year-old Michael Anthony Fuller from attempting to purchase a microwave, vacuum cleaner, and other goods from a Walmart with a fake million dollar bill. The police were called and Fuller was charged with attempting to obtain goods under false pretense and uttering a forged instrument.
Fair Warning
Ontario crook Daniel Glen called a store to find out how much cash it had in its register. When he arrived to take it, the police were waiting.
Dear Diary
Getaway driver Jonathan Ochola initially got away with the crime, but some evidence came back to get him. In his journal, he’d written “Go to Portsmouth, robbery happens”, and that evidence was used to convict him.
No matter what has landed you in jail, it’s important that you get out and start working on your defense.
